Anyone who slips in the Wetstraat or ends up in the rumor mill will sooner or later end up in this section.

At the De Clerck home

There was no rift between them Stefaan and Felix De Clerck after CD&V joined the city list of Kortrijk’s mayor Vincent Van Quickenborne (Open VLD) added. We learn this from a double interview in the Newspaper of West Flanders. Father and son still like each other. But Van Quickenborne still has to pay the price for Stefaan twelve years after losing his sash. He is not an honest leader, De Clerck accuses. “I base my decision on what I see and hear in this city. Based on what I read in the media. There are so many stories and facts that make me dare to say that.”

Good report

Party among parliamentarians Sander Loones (N-VA, Chamber) and Hannes Anaf (Forward, Flemish Parliament). They get from it Newspaper the best report for their parliamentary work. Loones thanks his employees and the group via social media. “Continue to work hard,” Loones boasts of his report. Anaf thinks his five stars are “crazy”. He is very happy with the recognition and also promises to “keep working hard for it”.

At the De Clerck home (2)

Son Felix has to agree with his father about Van Quickenborne. Under the Kortrijk Broel Towers he says that agreements were made about Q’s behavior. But that makes no impression. Apparently Stefaan rolled his eyes: “And you think he listens?” The press conference to announce the collaboration in particular hit home with the De Clercks. “The images have hit home hard. I should never have stood behind Vincent.” The fact that Van Quickenborne grabbed the microphone there and started addressing the press was apparently also not the agreement.

Bad report

No celebration among MPs Yoleen Van Camp (N-VA, Chamber) and Hendrik Bogaert (CD&V, Chamber). They managed to get zero stars on their parliamentary report. Both MPs have been invisible in recent years, it writes Newspaper. Hendrik Bogaert himself honestly admitted that he has done nothing. The fact that the two will no longer be eligible for election in June will therefore not cause the House to bleed.
