The Halle-Vilvoorde public prosecutor’s office issued an investigation notice on Sunday for the perpetrators of an armed robbery that took place in Ruisbroek on Thursday, July 27, 2023. That day, around 7:30 p.m., three men robbed a Carrefour Express store in Stationsstraat.

One of the perpetrators immediately jumped over the counter and threatened the cashier and a customer with a revolver. After grabbing the money from the cash register, he jumped over the counter again and fled with the second suspect, who was standing guard at the exit.
The third perpetrator immediately walked to the office area at the back of the store. He threatened the store manager with a machete and demanded the money from the safe. Since it has a time lock and therefore could not be opened, the suspect left the store without any loot. (Read more below the photo)
The robbers fled via the pedestrian tunnel under Ruisbroek train station, which is right next to the store. There was their motorbike, with which they drove away in the direction of Brussels, via the towpath along the Brussels-Charleroi canal. The three had also come to Ruisbroek via the same towpath.

The three suspects are probably around 20 years old. The first is about 1.75 meters tall and has an athletic build. He was wearing a black raincoat with a hood, black pants, black shoes, black gloves and a black scarf over his face, and had a revolver.
The second is of normal build and may have a light skin color. He was wearing a black hooded sweater with gray panels under the arms, black pants, black shoes, black gloves, sunglasses and a black scarf over his face. (Read more below the photo)

The third is slightly more solidly built. He was wearing a dark blue raincoat with a hood, black trousers, black gloves with a white stripe, black balaclava and black shoes with blue soles. He had a blue shopping bag from IKEA with him, which probably contained the machete.
All three spoke French and traveled on a dark-colored motorcycle.
