LtdDanni Heylen (72) will discover the wonderful world of social media in the theater play ‘De Instagrannie’ from February 28, 2025. She plays the role of popular influencer Annie Gruwez. Hugo Sigal and Leen Dendievel will also be on stage.
‘De Instagrannie’ follows the story of Annie Gruwez, who discovered social media after a turbulent period. And it turns out: she can handle it quite well. Her account ‘Instagrannie for life’ is completely blowing up. However, manager Vincent De Graeve sees potential in it and seduces Annie with tempting sponsorship deals. The result? It gives her even more followers and likes. In addition, the audience will also meet Rudy Rodrigo: a Flemish singer with talent, but without followers. Could the Instagrannie guide him to the charts? Manager Vincent is interested in it, but the posts are of course not free. Will Rudy join forces with Annie or will he choke on the deal? And does the Instagrannie herself have anything to contribute?
The current comedy was written by Jeroen Maes, who will also appear in the play. Danni Heylen and Hugo Sigal play the leading roles in ‘De Instagrannie’, which will tour Flanders from February 28, 2025. More than eighty performances are already planned in four months. Lennart Lemmens and Leen Dendievel will also be on stage.
