Michiel had a worldwide breakthrough with his role in Game of Thrones. It gave his acting career a boost, with all its consequences. So the family decided to move to New York.

However, they are not completely Americanized: Michiel and Tara, for example, thought it was important to give Hazel a down-to-earth Dutch upbringing, just as they themselves were raised. “We also speak Dutch with each other at home. I think that we in this country also deal with the behavior of children in a healthier way.”

Hazel hasn’t always had it easy. She was homeschooled until she was ten, moved often with her parents and therefore had more difficulty making friends. “That is also the reason why, as a ten-year-old, she was really sad middle school wanted,” says Michiel LINDA. There she became more regular and could make friends more easily.

Hazel is now sixteen years old and has hair sweet sixteenparty. Not with a lot of glitz and glamour, as is often the case in America. “A nice party, but not a Hollywood event. New York is more down to earth“That’s why the city suits us better.”

Michiel is currently in the Netflix film Rebel Moon in which he plays one of the main characters named Gunnar. The second part of the film series will be released on Netflix on April 19.

The newest LINDA. is now in stores.
