Evi Vanheel (42) from Kessel-Lo was barely 28 when she lost her husband Pascal in a train accident. The first year as a young widow with two children aged four and one was especially hell, she testifies. The loss of the love of her life also had many administrative and financial consequences: “Without this clause in our marriage contract, half of the money in our accounts would be blocked.”
