Atheneeke delves into the books during the Flanders Reading Day (Tongeren)

Last Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the students of Atheneeke delved into the books together with the teachers during the Flanders Reading Day. All day long you saw children and books in every possible place on the school grounds.

The students worked in mixed groups on various activities. Throughout the day, the school encouraged reading pleasure in every possible way. There was interactive reading, creative work, introduction to textless picture books, informative books were examined again, the illustrations for the various books were thoroughly studied… Because this happened in mixed groups, the students still learned more of each other. New friendships were made and together they enjoyed this abundance of books.
