Book Inez Weski immediately at the top of the bestseller list

THE HAGUE (ANP) – In the first week after its publication, lawyer Inez Weski’s book immediately topped the Bestseller 60, the list of best-selling books of the CPNB book association. In the book The Sound of Silence, Weski writes about her arrest last year.

It is not clear exactly how many copies were sold. Compiler CPNB never makes those figures known.

69-year-old Weski was detained for several weeks last year. She was arrested on April 21, 2023 because she is suspected of participating in a criminal organization. The former lawyer is said to have shared information from her client Ridouan Taghi from the Extra Secure Institution (EBI) in Vught with his contacts in the outside world.

Undisputed leader

Weski assisted Taghi in the extensive Marengo liquidation process until her arrest. In that trial, the court imposed a life sentence on him for five murders, two attempted murders and several preparations for murder. The chairman previously called Taghi “the only” and “undisputed” leader of a criminal organization that focused on violence.

Taghi has appealed against the court’s ruling. No date has yet been set for the hearing of the case against Weski.
