The emergency services in Ohfeldring, near Hamburg, Germany, have been searching for a 6-year-old boy for two days. Arian disappeared without a trace from his parental home, and it is feared that the boy with autism got lost in a swampy area.

Arian was last seen on Monday evening around 7:30 PM at his parental home in Ohfeldring, in the northern German state of Lower Saxony. His parents immediately raised the alarm and emergency services conducted a large-scale search operation for the boy with autism in the surrounding fields and forests. Despite the deployment of dozens of emergency services, helicopters, sniffer dogs and drones, the search yielded no results. The search operation is also complicated because Arian cannot express himself properly.

It wasn’t until Wednesday morning – after two bitterly cold nights – that a first trace was found: a footprint near a swampy area on a nearby river. That is why specialized divers and boats with sonar equipment are now being deployed to intensively search the water.

Police are also asking local residents to assist in the search, especially by checking video footage from surveillance cameras. “It seems entirely possible that the boy was captured by a surveillance camera on private property,” it said. The boy could also be in a shed or similar shelter, so local residents are also asked to search such buildings.
