The war in Ukraine appears to be turning more and more in the Russians’ favor. That is the opinion of high-ranking Ukrainian officers. In an interview with the news site ‘Politico’ they paint a grim picture of the situation at the front. “We do not have enough technology to compensate for the gigantic troops that Russia will send against us,” it sounds ominously.
According to the anonymous army officers, who worked for former Ukrainian commander-in-chief Valery Zaluzhny, there is a “military crisis”. According to them, the chance that Russia will win the war is increasing every day. “Moscow may soon be able to break through the front line and crush certain parts of the country,” it said.
The officers are convinced that “nothing can help Ukraine anymore.” “Neither we nor the West have enough high-end technology to compensate for the gigantic troops that Russia is likely to send against us,” says one of them.
F-16s
According to the officers, the weapons that Kiev receives from other countries often arrive much too late. The first shipment of American F-16s is expected to arrive in July, but by then the fighters will already be “irrelevant”. “There is a specific period for each weapon. F-16s were mainly needed in 2023, not in 2024.”

“Zaluzhny sometimes talked about ‘the war of one chance’,” says an officer. “By this he meant that certain weapon systems will quickly become redundant because the Russians always manage to defeat them. The Russians are studying everything and not giving us a second chance.”
According to the sources, Ukraine currently needs four million grenades and two million drones, as well as howitzers and missiles. In addition, more soldiers must be mobilized.

“We have combat experience and understand what happens on the battlefield. But the West has the resources and must give us what we need.” According to the officers, Russia is fully preparing for “a major attack”. “And the Russian army will launch it around August, perhaps earlier,” they predict.
