The facts date from April 14, 2024. On that day, eight Kuwaiti nationals, accompanied by Moroccan women, including a minor, spent an evening in a villa in the oasis of Sidi Ibrahim. The evening ended tragically with the death by drowning of a 20-year-old woman.

The Menara-Marrakech section of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH) demanded a thorough investigation into the case and the arrest of the villa’s owner and his manager. The association believes that the charges against the defendants are serious enough and should be considered crimes of human trafficking. The suspects were charged with murder and rape of a minor.
