It’s finally getting a bit warmer today and that trend will continue into the weekend. Next week, according to the most recent forecasts from the RMI, we will even go to 23 degrees. We can’t get rid of the precipitation.
Today The day starts heavily cloudy in the northwestern half of the country with periods of rain. Elsewhere it will be dry with some spells of sunshine. South of Sambre and Meuse the clearing spells are more pronounced. During the afternoon it will become variable to heavily cloudy everywhere and there may be showers, which can be locally heavy. There is even a chance of a thunderclap. The maximum temperatures are between 10 and 14 degrees.
Tonight and tonight we expect rain or showers from France, sometimes accompanied by thunder, especially north of Sambre and Meuse. It is drier with wide clear spells in the southeast of the country. Later in the night, low clouds will form in the Ardennes. The minimums are between 4 and 7 degrees.
Saturday it will be variable to heavily cloudy with sometimes some rain or showers from France. Shower activity will increase in the afternoon and evening, with a chance of isolated thunder. The maximum temperatures are between 13 degrees in the high Ardennes and 16 or 17 degrees in Flanders.
Sunday it will be windy with variable cloud cover, sometimes with a few showers. The maximum temperatures are between 12 and 17 degrees. The wind becomes quite strong, sometimes strong at sea, with gusts between 70 and 80 kilometers per hour.
Monday starts with sun, especially in the west of the country. During the day the clouds increase from the south, with occasional showers. It becomes quite soft with maximum temperatures between 13 and 17 or 18 degrees.
Tuesday noticeably softer, but also more unstable air flows to our country from France. It will be variable to sometimes heavily cloudy with rain or showers, which can sometimes be fierce, with thunder. The maximum temperatures are between 18 and 23 degrees.
Wednesday There will be clear spells, but thunderstorms may develop again during the day. The maximum temperatures are again between 18 and 23 degrees in most of the country.
Thursday It will be mild again with a chance of (thunder) showers. The maximum temperatures in many regions are close to 20 degrees.
The first ten days of May we get normal temperatures for the time of year: around or slightly higher than 15 degrees. However, the chance of precipitation remains present.
