Leader Comanchero MC arrested in southern Spain for attempted murder

The Spanish National Police have arrested the leader of the outlaw motorcycle club Comanchero in the southern Spanish seaside resort of Benalmádena (Málaga) on suspicion of attempted murder. The Romanian authorities had issued a European arrest warrant for the former Hells Angel and he was wanted by the international police organization Europol.

Drug smuggling

The investigation into the man began when Spanish police investigated the involvement of motorcycle club Comanchero MC in connection with the smuggling of drugs by road from Spain to Central and Northern Europe.

During the investigation, at the request of German authorities, one of the leaders of Comanchero MC was arrested in Marbella at the end of 2023 on suspicion of drug smuggling between Spain and Northern Europe. Subsequent investigation revealed that once this ringleader had been arrested and transferred to Germany, he had handed over control of the drug trafficking for the club to another leader of the motorcycle club.

Romania

Once the new leader of the motorcycle club was identified, it emerged that he was wanted by Romanian authorities for attempted murder. During the investigation by the Spanish police, in collaboration with the police of Germany and Romania – coordinated by Europol – it turned out that the fugitive suspect may have been staying in the province of Malaga. It subsequently emerged that he lived in Benalmádena, from where, according to the investigative services, he would have coordinated the transport and distribution of drugs to Central and Northern Europe via vans.

Two raids

The leader of Comanchero MC was arrested during raids on the suspect’s home and a new business premises dedicated to the rental of vehicles. During the two searches, a pistol, ammunition, an axe, a machete, several mobile phones, computers and several forged documents were seized.

In addition to the arrest on the basis of the European arrest warrant for attempted murder, the former Hells Angel was arrested on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons and forgery.
