What a statement! Club Brugge gives Racing Genk a major hangover with a convincing victory

Club Brugge and Racing Genk were the two teams in form in the Champions’ Play-offs, both taking 10 out of 12 in the first four games. The first game of two this week was scheduled for Wednesday.

The home team immediately started excellently and scored after just five minutes. Skoras laid back in the box to Jutgla, his first attempt was turned away from the line. The rebound landed at his feet and the Catalan fired home.

Genk was then pushed even further under. Jutgla laid off for De Cuyper, who fired in in the short corner. Club didn’t have any more problems after that and won easily 4-0.

Club Brugge continues to put pressure on Anderlecht, the difference is still two points. Racing Genk has to loosen the role and is now seven points behind Anderlecht. Genk will host Club on Sunday, the switch will have to be turned quickly.
