Neighborhood Committee Over de Statie and Midwest Cycling are organizing the Memorial Firmin & Paula Warnez/Grote Prijs Johan Rosseel, a cycling race for juniors, for the 28th time on Sunday, April 7.

Riders complete thirteen laps of 6.5 kilometers, good for a total distance of 84.5 kilometers. The route was slightly changed following the works in Gruuthusestraat. The start is planned in the Bedevaartstraat, after which the ride continues along the Lidl, the Marialoopsesteenweg, the Ten Hovestraat, the Wakkensesteenweg, the Mankemerriestraat, the Dentergemstraat, the Ventweg, the Seyntexlaan, the Bosakkerstraat and the Kastanjelaan, to end again in the Pilgrimage Street.

The starting shot is given at 3 p.m., the arrival is scheduled for around 5.15 p.m. You can register on the day itself in café Belle Epoque in the Stationsberm, where the awards ceremony will also take place. There is 200 euros to be won, with an additional bonus of 10 euros each round. “We once again hope for massive interest in Tielt and the surrounding area,” says Johan Rosseel, chairman of Over de Statie.
