BommenBerend stood under the massage jets in Bad Arcen. Next to Hungary. He had quite a voice and lectured about Vlad Dracul, or Dracula. Wrong.
Dracula is not Hungarian but Romanian and that country is really somewhere else Hungary made him get away; This is best done when you are standing next to someone with strong ideas. He doesn’t listen anyway.
Today’s weather
BB looked at me and clearly expected more conversation. The weather, that couldn’t hurt. “Pretty reasonable weather today, don’t you think?” Wrong stuff. BB burst into a confused argument about airplane stripes and strange clouds, all signs of sneaky dust in the air, a plot to keep the citizens docile and dull. Blame of the WEF, CIA and the Americans.
Corona
Okay; are you one of those? I nodded; I wanted to save my voice. He took that as encouragement and continued with corona relentlessly. That was also a conspiracy, but he had not let himself be stung. Because vaccines contained scary substances and corona did not exist at all. “And tens of thousands of dead corona sufferers?” That was not corona, he thought, but simply excess mortality. Corona was a conspiracy to keep citizens docile and dull. Evidence? Not being allowed to go to the pub was against human rights, but no one protested. Except for him and his fellow believers, but that was not listened to.
I asked what the deal was with the excess mortality. That was from the injections, he said. Not from corona, because it didn’t exist. He had never had corona himself, only pneumonia. He had ended up in the ICU in March 2020 and was put on oxygen, but had not seen any other patients. See that corona was a fabrication? Thank you cuckoo. Most corona sufferers died ‘normally’ at home or in a nursing home in that first wave. I tried to find out if he had viral pneumonia, but since he didn’t know what viral was, I gave up. Someone with corona who denies corona is impossible.
Both equal
There was little variation in his ideas. Climate change, refugees and asylum seekers, the press: everything was a conspiracy. When I didn’t say anything more, BB smiled happily. We were proven right again, hurray! I didn’t care, I just wanted to get away. He was just ahead of me: “My time is up, I have to go. At least we agreed on one thing: that we disagreed.” I nodded and thought of Albert Einstein. “Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity. But I’m not quite sure about the universe yet.”
“Have a nice day,” said BB. “You too,” I said.
Fortunately: one more thing we agreed on. Because the clouds had also left and the sky was bright blue. Nice weather today.
