It was a celebration of the Low Countries in the 1.45m Grand Prix of Lier. After a jump-off with fourteen, Kevin Jochems eventually won from local show jumping rider, Jeroen de Winter.

In the jump-off, Koen De Waele was the first to start. Together with his own bred, Balouchin KDW Z (Baloubet du Rouet), the East Flemish rider achieved two results. The first clear round was won by Loewie Joppen with BWP stallion, Pallieter Vd N. Ranch (Cornet Obolensky). Shortly afterwards, Jeroen De Winter managed to improve the pair’s chrono.

De Winter and BWP mare Paulien Dwerse Hagen (Cornet Obolensky) narrowly missed Joppen’s time. Kevin Jochems subsequently improved the time by more than one second. Jochems took the lead in the saddle of the 10-year-old Crumble mare, Camilla van de Helle.

In the end, Jochems won, De Winter followed second before Loewie Joppen.

Former Belgian champion, Jos Verlooy follows in fourth place with Nixon van ‘t Meulenhof (Denzel v’t Meulenhof). The top five of this 1.45m Grand Prix was finished by Maxime Rius with BWP gelding, Patron van de Dweerhoeve (Thunder vd Zuuthoeve).

Bas Moerings follows with Jesther (Cardento) after a clear round.
