A parcel deliverer recently filmed a heartbreaking scene in California. An unknown woman had thrown her dog out of her car while driving, after which the confused animal chased the vehicle for miles. “She just left it behind,” says the delivery person. “And she had her license plate removed so no one could identify her.”
The delivery person shared the images on social media and came into contact with Destiny Gomez. The 24-year-old woman, who gives stray animals new homes, was so touched by the story that she decided to track down the dog and find him a new family. She posted the video herself to her account, reaching some dog lovers who could help her.
“Someone had seen the dog, so we got the coordinates of the street he was last on,” Gomez told NBC Los Angeles. And a few hours later, the woman, who was in the company of her boyfriend, found the dog safe and sound in the area where it was abandoned. Destiny named the animal Chico and immediately found a foster family that could care for the dog. “And now we are looking for a family that wants to adopt Chico forever,” he said.
