This year the jury could not choose between two worthy candidates for the Truck Fleet-Owner of the Year award. For the first time in the history of the Transport & Logistics Awards, there are two winners: Delhaize and Fluvius.

Delhaize has sold a large part of its transport activities in the past, but the supermarket chain has retained its own fleet. The strategic role of this fleet is so important that Delhaize, after the renewal and improvement of management, is again considering expanding the fleet.

The fleet manager of Fluvius, the distribution company for gas and electricity in Flanders, had a lot of work to do because it had to merge several fleets into one, since Fluvius is the result of the merger of all former intermunicipal companies. With customer satisfaction and safety as the main drivers and with the help of powerful management tools, the gamble seems to pay off.

The third prize was won by Baker Belgium and the prize was sponsored by DAF Trucks, Air Products and Shell.
