iPad Air gets a larger 13-inch model, M2 chip and fresh colors

--

Those who want a larger iPad but do not want to pay the Pro price can now opt for the iPad Air series. The 11-inch model is now joined by a larger 13-inch variant.

Two years after the redesign of the iPad Air, with M1 chip, the new version is here. No new design this time, but a larger screen as an extra option and this time the Apple M2 chip on the inside. Gone are the gray tones as the only color option: from now on you can choose from blue, purple, gold and the traditional dark gray.

Otherwise, very little has changed on the iPad Air models. There is now room for one 12 megapixel camera at the back. It is important: the camera is central at the front when you hold the tablet horizontally. Very useful for video calls because you are no longer shown at an angle, because the camera is on the short side.

Unlike the new iPad Pro with OLED screen, which has become more expensive again, the price of the iPad Air remains stable.

The basic model has 128 GB of onboard storage and starts from 719 euros for the 11-inch model or 969 euros for the 13-inch screen size. Anyone who would like to add mobile connectivity (5G) will have to pay 150 euros more. The tablet is compatible with the previous generation Magic Keyboard (349 euros). All prices include VAT.

The new iPad Air models are available now and will be delivered from May 15.
