Developer Supergiant Games has released Hades 2, the successor to the popular dungeon crawler Hades, in early access. The game has been available on Steam and the Epic Games Store since May 6.

The early access version of Hades 2 costs 29 euros. According to Supergiant Games, the game will remain in early access at least until the end of this year. Although the game already contains ‘more environments, enemies and fully voiced characters than the full version of the original game’, according to the developer, more content will be added in the future. According to the developer, Hades 2 is ‘Deck Verified’, a quality mark from Valve that indicates that a game is playable on the Steam Deck.

The end of the story won’t come out until the full version 1.0 is released. If that happens, Hades 2 will also be released on other platforms. Supergiant Games says it cannot yet confirm which platforms the full version will release on. A major update will be released later this year. This will happen within a number of months, but the developer does not provide an exact time frame. Supergiant Games also does not say what that update entails.
