Smartphone leaker Evan Blass has shared images of the upcoming Sony Xperia 1 VI on his X account. It appears to be official marketing material. The images suggest, among other things, that the device uses Sony’s Bravia engine.
From the https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/1786907825823703471 it also appears that Sony provides the Xperia 1 VI with support for Hi-Res audio, LDAC, DSEE Ultimate and 360-degree audio. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack. In addition, according to the images, the device has a 5000mAh battery and support for both wireless charging and reverse wireless charging. Sony is once again working with Zeiss for the cameras.
The Xperia 1 VI’s screen is rumored to have a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz and should be one and a half times as bright as its predecessor. On May 17, Sony will hold an event in Japan, where the company will probably unveil the Xperia 1 VI and the mid-range Xperia 10 V1. It is not yet known what the devices will cost. Rumors suggest that the upcoming flagship will be slightly cheaper than its predecessor.
