It seems that Sony will soon release a Sony Xperia 1 VI and Xperia 10 VI. The number of leaks around these devices is increasing significantly. In a new leak we see more of the Xperia 1 VI plus the different colors in which the device appears.

Sony Xperia 1 VI

A leak by Android Headlines contains 30 images of the device, giving us a better idea of what we can expect from it. Various specifications have also been leaked, including an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Sony uses a flat panel for the screen and has very narrow screen edges. There is a small protruding part at the top and bottom. The screen is said to be 1.5 times brighter than that of the Xperia 1 V. The screen refreshes at 120 Hz.

Also notable: the 3.5mm audio port is back. This is not at all strange, given the trend that people are increasingly using wired earplugs, which do not need to be charged, are less likely to be lost and are therefore more durable. There is also a micro-SD slot, which is why it seems that Sony takes a lot of inspiration from the past: many other Android devices no longer have these two options, especially in the high-end segment.

Photography opportunities

We already indicated: the photos show more of the colors in which the device appears, but ‘colors’ may be a bit misleading: the device comes in beige, dark green and gray, so don’t expect a colorful whole. Sony clearly wants to keep it a bit more businesslike. The device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and a 5,000 mAh battery.

In addition, there is a Zeiss lens that will probably be upgraded to an Exmor T for mobile CMOS sensor for the 24 millimeter wide-angle lens, which also includes a 16 millimeter ultra-wide-angle lens and a telephoto zoom with a range of 85 to 170 millimeters. This phone, which will probably be all about natural photography again, can probably zoom 7 times.

Fewer apps

Good news for people who do a lot of photography: the apps that Sony Xperia normally has for that purpose will probably be merged. Photograph Pro, Videography Pro and Cinema Pro will soon merge into one app, if the rumors are true.

Sony is planning an event on May 17: we will undoubtedly hear more about what exactly is coming for the Xperia line.
