Half of the Anderlecht women’s team is sick in bed due to a virus. The Purple & White asked to postpone today’s top match against Standard Fémina, but the Rouches resolutely refused.

Today the long-awaited confrontation between RSCA Women and Standard Fémina is scheduled for the Lotto Super League, the highest level of women’s football.

However, this match was in danger of being canceled due to an unexpected setback. A significant number of Anderlecht players have been affected by illness, which led to a request for the match to be postponed.

Despite this, Standard stuck to the original schedule, determined to have the match take place as planned. Preparations at Anderlecht were disrupted by a virus outbreak in the RSCA Women dressing room, affecting nine players.

Despite Anderlecht’s request for a postponement, Standard remained determined to allow the important match to go ahead. And so it happened, albeit with a weakened Anderlecht.

RSCA Women and OH Leuven currently share the lead in the rankings, both with 34 points. Standard Fémina follows in third place with 32 points. The outcome of this top match will play a crucial role in the battle for first place in the competition.
