The second round has become the final station for Dimitri Van den Bergh. Our compatriot took a 5-4 lead and was able to finish on his own leg, but he still gave up the victory. After a deciding leg it became 5-6 for Rock.

On Friday evening it was a success for ‘Dacing Dimi’. He finished it off in his match against Gabriel Clemens (PDC 24) with a great 152 finish, after which he couldn’t keep up with his joy for a while (see video below).

It was also logical that Van den Bergh was very upset: Clemens was ahead for almost the entire match. But every time Clemens took the lead, Van den Bergh was immediately able to level the signs. With a 5-4 lead for the German, Clemens missed a match dart. The Antwerp native then equalized with a 48-throw. In the deciding leg, Clemens seemed to be heading for victory again, but with his nice 152 checkout, Van den Bergh still stole the German’s leg for a 6-5 victory.

Mike De Decker (PDC 40) had to pack his bags quickly. ‘The Real Deal’ competed against five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld (PDC 30) on Friday evening. The Dutchman immediately took a 3-0 lead. From the fourth leg onwards, Barney let up somewhat, which the Malinois took advantage of and won four legs in a row. Van Barneveld won the next two games with, among other things, a 136 throw, but De Decker was still able to pull out a decisive leg. The 57-year-old ‘Barney’ was the best in this.
