Halfway through the play-offs, Club Brugge is one of the biggest title candidates. Many players are in top form, but with one player the difference is big.

Anderlecht was said to need Thorgan Hazard in top form to become national champions. At Club Brugge that could be said of Andreas Skov Olsen, but the Dane only played against Cercle Brugge.

He scored the important equalizer in that first match of the Champions’ Play-offs, but Skov Olsen has not played since due to injury. Michal Skoras makes it easy to forget Skov Olsen.

Skoras had to adapt to the difference in level, but was also given few opportunities by Ronny Deila. This is now the case, partly due to Skov Olsen’s injury, and he thanks that trust with two goals and two assists in the play-offs.

Skoras impresses Vanaken

Captain Hans Vanaken is very complimentary of Skoras. “I am particularly happy for him because he has been involved in four goals since the start of the play-offs.” Vanaken also explains why Skoras is now coming to fruition.

First and foremost, he now gets the playing minutes and he seizes those playing opportunities with both hands. He convinced us of his qualities during training and these are now also reflected during the matches. In addition to his talent, he also has a lot of dedication and that pays off.”
