Club Brugge is going strong. They are doing very well in Europe and the competition under Nicky Hayen and off the field they are busy strengthening themselves. Acquisition number two is on its way.

Club Brugge already paid 6 million euros to attract Ardon Jashari, but Blauw-Zwart has also almost acquired the second summer signing. Argentinian media report that Club Brugge will put 5.5 million euros on the table for Zaid Romero.

That is a 24-year-old central defender from the Argentinian club Estudiantes. He may become the first Argentinian at Club Brugge. Blauw-Zwart has finally got hold of its long-sought defender, who would get it right in front of Besiktas.

First Argentinian for Blauw-Black

The central defender has to compete with Jorne Spileers, Brandon Mechele and Joel Ordonez. Dedryck Boyata has to leave Bruges. Romero is a lefty and has a good cross-pass in his feet. He is also very focused defensively.

Club Brugge is thus making an early move on the transfer market and is clearly planning to get off to a strong start next season.
