“Am I trying something tactical with a view to the final or not?”, the Antwerp coach begins, according to Het Laatste Nieuws. “Or I’ll try something tomorrow and on Sunday I’ll do it normally… — that doesn’t mean Union knows anything yet, right.”
“I’m thinking about it… Suppose I change some things, I try something with a view to the cup final. If that fails, I will be a bit wiser in preparing for the final, but then I have the play-offs thrown away,” he continues.
“If it works, then I have shown my cards. Maybe I should try something tomorrow and do it normally on Sunday. Or vice versa.”
Afterwards the coach put a lot of pressure on the opponent. “But I actually don’t want to talk about them; that wouldn’t be nice. The pressure over there must be extremely high. You have only lost twice in thirty league games and then you suddenly lose four in the play-offs.”
