Lotte Kopecky can check another item off her wish list. After winning in Paris-Roubaix this year, she now also tops the world rankings. The world champion replaces her teammate Demi Vollering as number 1. Another rider from SD Worx is at 3: sprinter Lorena Wiebes.
Lotte Kopecky’s top seasons are now also being rewarded in the world rankings. After highlights last year in the Tour of Flanders, the Tour de France and the World Cup, she added the Strade Bianche and Paris-Roubaix this year.
As of today, Kopecky is also the very first Belgian to top the world road cycling rankings. Since August 15, 2023, she has been second in the rankings, behind teammate Demi Vollering. Now she replaces the Dutch champion as number 1.
