The second round of the MotoGP season has become a prey for Jorge Martin. The Spaniard won in Portugal and immediately took over the championship lead from Francesco Bagnaia. It crashed after a collision with Marc Marquez. Even more striking: 19-year-old Pedro Acosta was also on the podium for the first time.

Jorge Martin started the Grand Prix third but took the lead immediately after the start. He did not let go during the entire race and was declared the winner by José Mourinho. He also put a football sauce on it himself: Martin celebrated his victory with the well-known gesture of Cristiano Ronaldo.

A lot happened behind his back. Vinales seemed to be on his way to second place, but he dropped out on the last lap. As a result, Bastianini moved up one spot, but so did Pedro Acosta.

The 19-year-old Spaniard is considered the latest super talent and takes his first podium place in his second race at this level. And that after an impressive race because he started it in P7.

World champion Bagnaia had the World Cup lead after his victory in the first race of the season, but he came into contact with Marc Marquez a few laps from the end. Both riders crashed and Bagnaia has lost his leading position (for the time being).
