Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer among young women in our country. “And only half of the patients with metastases are still alive after one year,” says professor Dr. Thaïs Baert (UZ Leuven). Your risk increases if you take the pill, smoke or have had multiple sexual partners. How do you recognize the first symptoms and when do you really need to see a doctor? Professor Baert answers.
