Britain’s Prince William and his wife Kate are “extremely moved” by the support from the general public after it was announced that the princess has cancer. “They have both been very touched by the kind messages from all over the United Kingdom and around the world,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson confirmed on Saturday. “They are also grateful that the public understands that they want the necessary privacy at this time.”

After Princess Kate unexpectedly announced her cancer diagnosis in a video message on Friday, messages of support came from all over the world. The 42-year-old wife of the British heir to the throne has been undergoing preventive chemotherapy for several weeks. In the video message she was positive about her recovery.
