Antwerp says goodbye to an art gallery. Domien Delforge, known as cartoonist Studio Stoutpoep, closes the doors of the Ludo after just over a year. To give the gallery a dignified farewell, he organizes a final exhibition of his own work.
In mid-March 2023, Domien Delforge opened his own gallery in Lange Kievitstraat. The Ludo would become a place where artistic people of various stripes exhibit their work.

Just over a year later, the story of the Ludo was written. “It was a short drive. A nice ride. A frustrating ride,” can be read on the gallery’s Instagram page. Domain Delforge itself could not be reached for comment.
Delforge, who will become a father for the first time in August, retires in beauty. He is organizing a closing party and a final exhibition on May 10 and 11. “The exhibition is about impending fatherhood, a search for yourself and the question of whether finding yourself should be an objective or not,” Delforge said in a press release.”
“It’s about successes, failures, fears and emotions in a world that is becoming increasingly crazy and in which a son will soon appear and grow up. It’s about finding out whether I am a banker or an artist and how and what ratio,” the cartoonist concludes.
