Sixteen people were injured in a traffic accident involving a minibus of the Brussels Capital/Ixelles police on Saturday afternoon. This was reported by police spokesperson Ilse Van de Keerse. Fourteen people were slightly injured, two people seriously injured. Their lives would certainly not be in danger.

“The accident took place around 1.28 pm at the intersection of Square Jules de Trooz and Koninginnelaan,” said a police spokesperson. “A minibus from our police zone that was driving on Koniginnelaan in the direction of Laeken and a Peugeot that was driving from Werkhuizenkaai in the direction of the center collided. A total of 14 occupants of the minibus were taken to hospital with minor injuries.” The 14 occupants of the minivan were aspiring inspectors.

The two occupants of the car were seriously injured and taken to hospital. Their lives would not be in danger. The Brussels North police zone is on site to conduct the investigation, as is the victim assistance service.
