On Saturday, May 4, 2024, the garden of the Scharpoord Cultural Center in Knokke-Heist will transform into a vibrant festival site. MAAKrock, organized by MAAK, promises to offer an afternoon full of musical surprises, powered by the local talent of the jazz-pop-rock department.

Festival full of talent

Between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM, visitors can enjoy the musical arts of students who normally spend their days in the classrooms of MAAK. These students, who take individual instrument and singing lessons, also receive lessons in combos, where they learn the intricacies of playing together in a band. The live performances at MAAKrock are the result of their hard work and dedication, which creates an authentic festival atmosphere. An ideal opportunity to support the musical talents while enjoying a drink.

Rain or shine

The organization is prepared for all weather conditions. If the sun does not show itself and rain affects the day, the performances will take place within the walls of MAAK, located at Van Steenestraat 9. This guarantees that the festival will continue, regardless of the weather.

Discover music yourself at MAAK

For those who are inspired by the performances and want to learn the art of music themselves, MAAK offers the perfect opportunity. On Sunday, May 26, MAAK will hold an open day from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, also at Van Steenestraat 9. During this day, interested parties can register for lessons starting in September 2024 and learn more about the various music programs that MAAK offers.
