During the evening rush hour, several men fought with each other in Toekomststraat. It would be a serious case of road rage. One person was taken to hospital with a bloody face.

Things were intense on Tuesday evening in Toekomststraat in Sint-Amandsberg. In the middle of the traffic jam, several men suddenly started fighting with each other. It was very busy in the street at that time due to work on the Dampoort roundabout nearby.
“We indeed received several calls around 6:30 p.m.,” says police spokesman Dirk De Sutter. “We were informed that a large group of people had started fighting. It would indeed be a serious case of road rage, but the circumstances are being fully investigated.”
When the emergency services arrived on the scene, the perpetrators had already started running. “We found a victim with a bloody face. He was taken to hospital, but his life is not in danger,” says De Sutter.
