Hein Vanhaezebrouck laughs at the suggestion to work for this JPL team: “That has not been written yet” – Football News

--

Hein Vanhaezebrouck is not far away from the end of his second stint at KAA Gent. Will another JPL club host him?

There has been a lot of speculation about that. Antwerp and Club Brugge have been linked with him more than once in the past. For the time being, Hein will continue to focus on KAA Gent, which is by no means the only club looking for a trainer for next season. One of those many clubs is KVC Westerlo.

Bart Goor has been working at the Kemphanen as interim coach since the dismissal of Rik De Mil. Goor has once again pumped quite a bit of life into Westerlo. Shouldn’t he continue as T1? “No, that shouldn’t be the case. I enjoy what I do.” Despite playing well at times, his team is still without a win in the play-offs.

“I hope that the players will continue to do this and hopefully that will one day result in a victory. I will not comment on whether I am the right man to be coach of Westerlo.” If Goor does not take over the torch, Hein Vanhaezebrouck was suggested to become Westerlo coach.

That resulted in a lot of laughter, not least from Vanhaezebrouck himself. “Who knows? That hasn’t been written yet,” the Buffalo coach is already ready for a new rumor in the media. But no, it will be a different challenge for him.
