Exclusive tours and puppet theater Nello & Patrasche: Het Steen presents spring and summer offerings (Antwerp)

To give Antwerp residents and tourists an extra boost take care of, the city of Antwerp has many activities planned in Het Steen. The new spring and summer offer will be launched this weekend, including an exclusive tour of the rooms, cellars and attics of Het Steen.

Would you like to taste some Antwerp regional products for free? Would you like to attend an exhibition about the diamond sector? Or how about puppet theater about the well-known folk tale Nello & Patrasche? This is a selection from the new spring and summer range. Photographer Philippe Verhoeven, who previously exhibited his work on the escalators of the Sint-Anna tunnel, is also invited to realize his own Antwerp photo project.

And if you want a look behind the scenes, you can join one of the guided tours, where a guide takes you to the rooms, cellars and attics of Het Steen. The tour takes you past a maze of narrow stairs and secret tower rooms, each with its own story. The guide takes people into the turbulent and sometimes chilling history of Het Steen, where executioners interrogated alleged witches and convicts said their last prayers.
