Duffel

Police zone Bodukap held a traffic control in Duffel last weekend. A moped rider fled the scene, but was chased by the police. The roller test bench determined that the two-wheeler could reach a speed of no less than 175 km/h. The man could be captured.

During the traffic stop, the police caught five drivers who manipulated their mobile phones while driving and also found a tuned car that had not been inspected. However, the main bird was shot by a moped rider.

“The man drove without lights, ignored a red traffic light and an order from a police officer to stop,” explains a spokesperson for the Bodukap police zone. “Our people started chasing the moped rider and found that speeds of more than 100 kilometers per hour were being reached. At one point the man tried to run on foot but he was quickly intercepted.” On the roller test bench, the moped reached a top speed of just 175 km/h.

In addition to the various traffic violations he had committed, the moped also turned out not to be insured or registered. The driver also turned out not to have a driver’s license.

The police confiscated the boosted moped. (tdk)
