The five essentials from the Victoria Beckham X Mango collection

The Victoria Beckham X Mango collection has been in stores since yesterday and seems to come straight from the British designer’s personal dressing. We have listed a few features so that you can imagine yourself as Victoria Beckham for a moment. And yes, that has a price tag. But smaller than if you were to shop on her own website.

Wide legs

When you say Victoria Beckham, you almost automatically say wide-leg trouser suits. Not in all the colors of the rainbow, her color palette is rather modest with an occasional outlier, but often in stylish black or white. And we also find this in her collection for Mango. Black wide-leg trousers made of just under half pure wool. In her fashion house’s own collection we find a similar model for just under 700 euros.

Straight blazers

And with such trousers you need a blazer, preferably not an overly fitted model. We find several in the Victoria Beckham X Mango collection. But one in cream color, that other British favorite, has stayed with us. Why? Because of its simplicity: a straight model without lapels or flaps and certainly no closure.

Long dresses

The designer, who recently celebrated her fiftieth birthday, doesn’t just wear trouser suits. For festive occasions she always turns to satin or silk dresses, such as at her son Brooklyn’s wedding party. Then she wore a silver-colored one, at her birthday party she went for a semi-transparent dress with an accentuated waist and a stylish but casual neckline. Lookalikes of her favorite dresses also appear in her collection for Mango, such as this peach-colored one.

High heels

Although she currently walks around with crutches due to a broken foot, the British woman has a preference for high heels. And we mean high heels, not kitten heels. It is therefore not surprising that the only pair of shoes with a heel in the Mango collection adds no less than 10.5 centimeters to your own height. If we take a quick look at the ‘ready to wear’ collection on her own website, we even see sandals with 13 centimeter heels. The sky is indeed the limit for Victoria.

Handbag

We were a bit surprised that the collection does not include sunglasses because Victoria always has oversized glasses on her nose, even in rainy London. When we noticed that the collection for Mango did contain large handbags, we were once again reassured: large bags are also a trademark of the designer. She designed several copies for Mango that still take a bite out of your budget, but are still a lot more affordable than her creations.
