Belgian designer Dries Van Noten, who announced his retirement from the fashion world in March, is launching his very last capsule collection in collaboration with Mytheresa. The collection will consist of 25 colorful items, inspired by fireworks.

Fans can expect items with geometric prints and floral motifs. These include boxy tops, pencil skirts, airy dresses and full suits. “The latest collection, which was created well before the designer announced his retirement, is inspired by fireworks that Dries witnessed at an Indian festival,” says Michael Kliger, CEO at the designer webshop.

Van Noten himself describes the latest line as a natural continuation of the many years of collaboration with the webshop. “We focused on two-tone, geometric motifs, creating a new approach to floral prints. We played with patterns and colors to create a range of separates and dresses. This eclectic range of prints and options offers the opportunity to mix and match the different pieces for more casual or formal outfits,” said a response to WWD.

The capsule collection will be available for purchase exclusively via Mytheresa, on Dries Van Noten’s official site and in the label’s stores from Wednesday, April 24.
