A promise is a promise: comedian Jan Jaap van der Wal has Thursday – in lingerie! – washed the car of colleague Peter Pannekoek. The result of a bet in the TV program ‘This was the news’.
After a discussion about influencers who have to do increasingly crazy things to generate more clicks, Van der Wal had promised last week to wash Pannekoek’s car in lingerie if he reached 60,000 followers on Instagram. On Thursday he appeared to have no less than 72,000 followers. “Unbelievable, but the point is confirmed: sex sells”, Van der Wal joked.
The video then shows how Pannekoek does not arrive in his car, but in a truck. There is a light box on the dashboard with the text ‘wash, bitch’, and on the side of the truck Pannekoek’s new theater tour is advertised. To the tune of Car wash Van der Wal then throws a few sponges against the truck and runs a mop along the vehicle. The result, he says, is a “funny video” with which he also draws attention to body positivity.
