In ‘Love for Music’, Laura Tesoro and Koen Wauters take a moment to reflect together on her cover of ‘Stil’. “I am very grateful and I was really impressed by your performance,” Koen opens the conversation. “I was extra emotional.” The song that Laura released was released two years ago, just after a difficult period for the singer. “When I first heard the demo of the song, it really touched me. I remember that at the time I didn’t really know what to say to you,” Laura notes. “I thought it was important to choose a song in ‘Love for Music’ that really meant something to you,” she then explains.

Four years ago, Koen Wauters and Valerie De Booser announced that they had ended their relationship after 16 years of marriage. In the song he looks back on that period after his divorce. “That song is actually about a long period in my life,” Koen continues. “You are divorced, you are alone at home. When the kids went to Valerie for the first time, I thought it was really awful. I didn’t know the silence could be so quiet. I then wrote that down and after a while you feel that you have to move on with your life. So that song really represents a year in my life.”
