We investigate the health, well-being and lifestyle of Dutch young people aged 16 to 25. We do this by means of an online questionnaire. All young adults in the Netherlands are invited to complete a digital questionnaire. It is important to reach as many young adults as possible, also in our region. The results of the research help to develop even better policies to improve the health of young adults in our region.
Health Monitor Young Adults 2024
The Young Adult Health Monitor 2024 is a national online questionnaire survey into the health, well-being and lifestyle of young adults aged 16 to 25 living in the Netherlands. The research is being conducted for the second time. The first time was in 2022, the results of which are published in March 2023. The GGDs conduct this research together with the RIVM.
From April 8 to July 7, 2024, young adults throughout the Netherlands can complete the online questionnaire via www.jongerenmonitor.nl. Young adults are reached via various social media and the GGDs. The questionnaire covers various topics, such as physical and mental health, lifestyle, substance use, loneliness and the impact of corona.
Participate in the research
Participants provide information that is important for the government, GGDs and municipalities to make policy and take action to improve the health of young adults. In this way, the Young Adult Health Monitor 2024 contributes to the health and well-being of young adults. That is why it is important that as many young adults as possible participate in the research. Participation in the research is voluntary. The answers will be treated and processed strictly confidentially.
The results
All GGDs in the Netherlands request the Young Adult Health Monitor 2024 in the same way and in the same period. Because all GGDs participate, there will soon be results at national, regional and (if sufficient response) municipal level. This makes it possible to compare results. The results of this questionnaire survey will be available in early 2025.
