the finalists each raised this

--

On Sunday evening we watched the exciting and hilarious semi-final of ‘De Mol’. During the last elimination, Charlotte aka Lolo unfortunately had to go home after she was the only one unable to obtain any pass questions. So Michaël, Bernard and Senne are in the final. But which of them brought in the most money and who left the most behind? You will discover it below!

Every ‘De Mol’ fan has a different suspect and a different way of hunting moles. But something we cannot ignore is of course the money that the Mole earns throughout the game, or rather: not at all. Who raised the least and the most money? Michaël, Bernard or Senne?

One thing is striking: both Michaël and Senne, by opening Pandora’s box, single-handedly ensured that real money went out of the pot. While they also left a lot of money behind. And Bernard also let enough money pass him by. Discover the most striking figures below.

Michael = €1153

After episode 7, Michaël has raised a measly total of €1153. He took a hefty amount out of the pot by opening Pandora’s box, €1580 to be precise, which is half of the amount lost, the other half of which we of course attribute to his accomplice Senne. But even if we add that ‘unfortunate coincidence’, Michael still earns the least of the three.

There are also some strong zeros next to his name, such as in the test with the candles and fans, but also in the torments when he loosened his grip at the last moment. He also squandered €400 at the last minute on the assignment to hear the Mole’s voice, which once again brought in nothing at all.

He showed his best side during the test with the pizzaioli. Thanks to Michaël, €500 still came into the group pot, while the others no longer yielded anything. And he also managed to earn money with the funeral and the mole books. He also managed to collect €750 in the semi-finals – even though he showed extreme mole behavior there.

If we look at his personal contribution – and especially the mistakes he made – Michäel left around € 16,630, according to our calculations. Although this of course includes some major outliers, such as the money from Pandora’s box, and we also count him as a major culprit that the test of torments failed.

The largest amount that Michaël himself put into the pot at once: € 750

Largest amount that Michaël left behind at once: €3,000

Senne = €1463

Senne did slightly better than Michaël, but certainly not top. Senne is also quite suspicious with an amount of € 1,463 to his name. He and Michael lost a hefty sum of €1,580 on Pandora’s Box.

Senne also has a number of zeros to his name, but the most striking one is the one in the cell test with the candles and fans. Although he was labeled as an innocent prisoner, we still think he is the main culprit here. Due to consultation with Philippe and Karolien, he was not freed in time and the group missed out on € 10,000 (!). He also left €9,000 behind on the block towers, when he opted for a weekend in Amsterdam instead of asking for a passport.

He almost never raised money alone. Only in the very first test on the boat was he responsible for €1000 in the group pot. He also did well in the paintball fight and added a total of €3,000, but the other amounts he could add himself were less than €500.

While Michaël yielded the least, Senne is the one who squandered the most money. And it’s a big difference! In total, Senne lost 32,995 euros, although we must make a comment about this. Just as we see Michael as the main culprit in the torment assignment, we regard Senne as the culprit in, among other things, the block test and the prison test – since Philippe and Karolien are no longer in the game. Due to the extreme outliers of the doublers, he ends up with a much larger amount than the other two finalists.

The largest amount that Senne put into the pot at once: € 1,000

Largest amount that Senne left behind at once: € 10,000

Bernard = €4216

Finally, we have Bernard, the top earner of the three finalists. He raised €4,216. His commitment is especially noticeable in the beginning. He raised €1,000 in the very first test, but also €750 with the oath of secrecy and €500 with Mario Kart.

Although things went downhill from the episode with pizzaioli, because he didn’t earn anything at all for several tests in a row. And when he didn’t recognize his mother’s spaghetti – supposedly one in a thousand – he passed up another €2,000 on the group pot, since all the other candidates were correct.

Bernard is also responsible for a lot of money that the group has lost at the puppet theater. Schabolleke, seriously? He and Senne only raised €820 of the €6,000 to be earned, so you could say that they each left at least €2,590 there. Although of course they couldn’t cash in all that money anyway, because they had to take x number of steps to get to their destination.

If we look at the total money that Bernard left behind, he is approximately the same as Michaël, about € 18,250.

Largest amount that Bernard put into the pot at once: € 1000

Largest amount Bernard left behind: €2,000

The group pot stands at € 19,160, while (with the doublers) no less than € 95,300 (!) was up for grabs… You will discover who De Mol really is in the final on Sunday, May 12 at 8 p.m. on Play4 and via GoPlay.
