“My ex and I are still best friends.” Jani Kazaltzis (45) makes this striking statement in the podcast ‘The 10 most Googled questions’ on Qmusic. “If you have been together for thirteen years, you have to make an effort to reach an agreement,” says the Genk resident.
In 2020, Jani Kazaltzis ended his previous relationship. He shared joys and sorrows with his ex-partner for thirteen years, but the couple deliberately did not appear in public together. “That was a choice of my friend, who was less comfortable with being in the spotlight,” the stylist says in the podcast The 10 most Googled to ask on Qmusic.
Three years ago, Jani found love again with Jens Fissers (35), a pharmaceutical company with whom he also launched his skincare line IOAN. “But my ex and I are still best friends,” the television personality admits on Qmusic. “I only see him twice a year because he now lives in Hong Kong. We will still celebrate New Year’s together. Our new friends were also there, where we played irritating do against. (laughs) Last New Year’s Eve we all celebrated together in Bangkok. My ex will visit here again in the summer.”

His special bond with his previous partner has already raised many questions for the Genk stylist. “Then they say: etc, you are still good friends with your ex. Isn’t that only possible with gays? (laughs)”
Friend Kat Kerkhofs also recently asked the presenter the same question. “She admitted that she absolutely could not do that herself,” says Jani. “But if you’ve been together for thirteen years, I think you should make an effort to agree. I certainly like the fact that I am a bit strange,” the stylist laughs.
