Weathermen report on severe weather… and suddenly see their own television studio overflowing — © KameraOne
Two weathermen from WCIA 3 news channel were confronted with a very wet surprise on Monday. When Kevin Lighty and Jacob Dickey reported on the severe weather in the US state of Illinois, their television studio was suddenly flooded. However, the flooding did not stop them from informing viewers further.

In addition to the studio, the control room and the news service were also affected by the flood. Fortunately, most of the technical equipment was spared from damage. Partly because of this, Lighty and Dickey were still able to report on the bad weather, despite being ankle-deep in water.
“Seeing water pouring into your studio is definitely not something you expect to see,” said Larry Forsgren, the news channel’s general manager. “The weathermen nevertheless managed to keep their cool and continued to update their audience with the latest information.” A cleaning crew later arrived to pump the water out of the building.
