American President Joe Biden (81) plans to debate his Republican rival Donald Trump (77). He confirmed this in an interview with American radio presenter Howard Stern.
“I don’t know when I’ll do it, but I’ll be happy to work with him (Trump, ed.) to debate,” Biden said in the interview with Stern. At the beginning of March, Trump already challenged Biden to a debate. “Anytime, anywhere,” the ex-president wrote on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’.
During the Republican primaries, Trump refused to debate with fellow party members who were running against him. When they planned a debate, the ex-president organized a campaign event at the same time.

A debate between Biden and Trump would undoubtedly promise fireworks. The presidential candidates have lashed out at each other several times in recent months and weeks.
For example, in February Trump said Biden should take an IQ test. “Maybe then we’ll find out why he makes such terrible decisions,” Trump said. In mid-March, Biden in turn mocked his rival. “One candidate is too old and mentally unfit to be president, the other is me,” he said at a gala dinner with journalists, referring to ongoing criticism of his age.
