Abby Hensel, known from reality series ‘Abby & Brittany’, is married. This was reported by the American website ‘Today’. It’s remarkable news because Abby and Brittany are part of a pair of conjoined twins.

Americans Abby and Brittany Hensel are part of a pair of dicephalic, or two-headed, conjoined twins. They each control one part of their body and share all organs below the waist. At birth in 1990, the parents decided not to separate the twins because it would be a very risky operation. The twins have also expressed that they do not want to be separated.

Abby and Brittany regularly appeared in various documentaries in the late 90s, such as Joined for life (connected for life) on Discovery Channel. During that period they also appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show. In 2012, the twins appeared for one season on their own reality show, which aired on TLC and BBC Three.

A lot has changed since then. Abby and Brittany largely disappeared from the media and today are both elementary school teachers in Minnesota. According to documents that Today could see, Abby married Josh Bowling, a nurse and US Army veteran. They tied the knot in 2021.
