Harvey was given the opportunity to tell Morgan her side of the story about the popular series. That is based on the Scottish protagonist Richard Gadd’s own experiences. In the series we see that he is being stalked by a woman named ‘Martha’. Fans of the show quickly discovered that Fiona Harvey is the ‘real’ Martha.
In the interview with Morgan, Harvey admits to knowing Richard Gadd, but denies ever stalking him. She claims it was the other way around: according to her, Gadd is the one who is obsessed with her. “It’s all fictional. Only two things are true. His name is Richard Gadd and he worked as a bartender,” she said.
“We only met two or three times. He is now trying to smear me. This is slander. I think he has serious psychological problems and is psychotic,” said Harvey.

When Morgan lists how many emails, voicemails, tweets and messages Harvey allegedly sent to Gadd via Facebook, she denies it. “I don’t think I sent him anything. Maybe there were some funny emails, but there were maybe about ten and certainly not 41,000. But I didn’t send him anything via Facebook or text messages. This is absolutely not true.”
