Netflix price is going up again by a few euros

--

Bad news for everyone with a Netflix subscription, because the price for the subscription is going up again. This is what the American streaming service announces in the Netherlands.

Prices will increase in the short term for each version of the subscription. You will soon pay one euro more for the cheapest subscription, while the most expensive subscription will increase by three euros. This makes the most expensive version of Netflix the most expensive subscription you can have to a streaming service in the Netherlands.

The basic subscription to Netflix, called Basic, cost 7.99 euros per month. This allowed you to stream in 720p resolution and on a maximum of one device. The new price for this will be 8.99 euros per month.

The standard subscription, called Standard, was always the happy medium and cost 12.99 euros per month. This allowed you to stream in 1080p resolution and on up to two screens simultaneously. The new price will be 13.99 euros.

Finally, there is Netflix’s most expensive subscription form, called Premium, for which until recently you paid 17.99 euros per month. This form gave access to 4K resolution for your streaming use, while you could watch on four screens simultaneously. That will now be 18.99 euros per month.

New Netflix price not yet implemented everywhere

Those who live in Belgium are even more unlucky. The price for Netflix will increase slightly there. Netflix Basic will cost 9.99 euros per month, while Netflix Standard will cost 14.99 euros per month. Anyone who has Netflix Premium in Belgium will soon pay 19.99 euros per month.

There is also some happiness for existing subscribers. Netflix has not yet implemented the price for everyone who already has a subscription to Netflix. The question remains when the American streaming service will charge this. On the other hand, if you want to take out a subscription as a new user, you will have to pay the new price per month.
